Therapy Dogs in Our Sessions
At times, we incorporate therapy dogs into our sessions when they are ready and when it is appropriate for the client. While we don’t always use dogs, their involvement can significantly enhance the therapeutic experience.
Dogs have long been valued for their companionship, but their role in human therapy has gained increasing recognition for its profound impact. Known for their ability to provide unconditional love and support, dogs are now integral to various therapeutic practices, including emotional support and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Their presence can help reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety. The unique bond between dogs and humans often fosters a sense of calm and security, making therapy sessions more effective and engaging.
